Empowering Through Partnership: KTMC Honored at 2025 Philanthropy Awards

April 14, 2025

Last week, members of the KTMC team had the honor of attending the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2025 Partners in Philanthropy Awards Lunch at Lilah at The Weitzman, where we were recognized for our longstanding partnership with the Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP).

KTMC was honored for our work supporting HAP’s SOAR Project, which helps individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Philadelphia secure expedited access to Social Security disability benefits. To date, KTMC’s pro bono volunteers—led by Partners Matthew Mustokoff and Josh Materese—have handled nearly three dozen SOAR cases, achieving a 90%+ success rate, well above the national average.

In addition to SOAR, KTMC attorneys regularly volunteer at HAP’s monthly legal clinics, providing services across a wide range of legal needs, from expungements to immigration documentation.

We’re deeply grateful for this recognition and our ongoing partnership with HAP—and thank the Philadelphia Business Journal for highlighting this important work.
