Job Description

KTMC seeks a Claims Payment Analyst. The Claims Payment Analyst is responsible for receipt of class action claim payments and further allocation of claim payments to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, record, and distribute claim payments to clients
  • Inventory and record all payment details into Firm database
  • Complete check deposit forms and deposit checks using RDC check scanner or FedEx delivery.
  • Record SSI instructions provided by institutional clients
  • Prepare and input outgoing SWIFT and wire transfer payments and administrative messages
  • Prepare payment notifications and correspond appropriately with clients regarding their claim payment distributions
  • Reconcile firm’s client money accounts with payments awaiting distribution on a daily basis
  • Correspond with claims administrators regarding claim payment details
  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve processes
  • Escalate any process or client related issues to manager immediately
  • Meet with manager and/or peers as necessary to discuss issues and resolutions

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, previous relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience preferred
  • Must have analytical and basic math skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and be detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed with little to no advance notice.

KTMC seeks a Paralegal who will work with a busy group of Attorneys in all facets of litigation. Candidate must have at least a paralegal certificate and 5+ yrs. of paralegal experience for consideration.  

Responsibilities:

• Interface with attorneys, legal assistants and other counsel.

• Perform investigative Internet research

• Assist in the preparation and filing of documents including, but not limited to, court pleadings and legal correspondence

• Assist with trial preparation, as necessary

• Draft legal documents and correspondence, and review and check all documents for accuracy and compliance with court rules

• Conduct Bluebooking, fact and cite checking, editing and proof-reading

• Complete discreet research assignments using LEXIS and/or Westlaw

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (experience will be considered in lieu of education)
  • Paralegal Certificate or Certified through NALA or NFPA
  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal level work required
  • Attention to detail, a great attitude, and a hard work ethic are a must
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Excellent writing and communication skills required

Position Responsibilities:

  • Schedule all interviews (from first to final rounds) and collect feedback from hiring managers
  • Post jobs on our website, LinkedIn, and school-based sites (simplicity, handshake, etc.); manage LinkedIn budget, refresh postings as needed, etc.
  • Actively monitor other avenues for candidate searching (i.e. ABA, paralegal associations, diversity sites, job fairs, on campus interviewing etc.)
  • Conduct first round interviews
  • Work directly with staffing agencies for contract attorney and temporary staff hires and manage this process, keeping close track of hire dates/fees associated with conversion, etc.
  • File applications appropriately
  • Provide weekly updates to hiring managers
  • Draft and file offer letters
  • Summer Program- schedule callbacks, collect feedback and update tracker; schedule Summer Program events, collect summer associate feedback, send event/rotation reminders out
  • Collect job description updates from managers annually
  • Work with HR team, IT, and hiring manager to develop new hire first day/week schedules
  • Run background checks and e-verify for new hires and collect all new hire information, distributing it to the appropriate HR team-member
  • Assist with HR initiatives, as needed

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to work from home (stable home internet connection)
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-4 years of recruiting experience
  • Experience with Excel and Outlook
  • Must have a very strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Must have the ability to handle highly confidential information in a sensitive manner
